Job summary
Penn Medicine is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Infectious Diseases to serve as the subject matter expert for antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacotherapy at Lancaster General Health. The role includes direct patient care, guideline development, formulary support, and quality improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate has PGY1 required and PGY2 Infectious Diseases or equivalent advanced experience, BCIDP eligibility preferred, and will lead antimicrobial optimization across patient
Qualifications
- Advanced infectious diseases expertise and strong clinical judgment.
- Excellent communication and education skills for pharmacists, residents and students.
- Experience with antimicrobial stewardship and infectious diseases pharmacotherapy.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care through pharmacotherapy design, monitoring and evaluation.
- Lead antimicrobial stewardship activities and develop guidelines and order sets.
- Educate healthcare professionals and mentor staff; participate in research and quality improvement.
- Coordinate with pharmacy staff to ensure safe and effective medication use.
