Visa Information

Position Description

This position is responsible for providing medical care. This mayinclude examination of patients, ordering x-rays and laboratorytests to help make an accurate diagnosis, and planning andexecution of treatment. The person in this position works in abusy, pressured environment and sees a high volume of patients eachday.

Major/Essential Functions

• Provides direct patient care to include chronic, and urgenthealthcare to incarcerated patients.
• Effective and timely documentation in the EHR.
• Effective collaboration and communication

Required Qualifications

• Graduated from an approved accredited School of Medicine withan M.D. or D.O. degree; licensed to practice medicine in the Stateof Texas or have the ability to transfer your license to Texas;certificate or
• license for prescribing controlled substances; three yearspost-graduate training in primary care medicine

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certification in Infectious Disease. Clinical experiencemanaging HIV, hepatitis, tuberculosis, sexually transmittedinfections, and other communicable diseases.
• Experience providing infectious disease consultations throughtelehealth.
• Experience in correctional healthcare, public health, communityhealth, or other medicallyunderserved settings.
