Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Texas is seeking an experienced physician to contribute to teaching, research, and patient care within Internal Medicine and Pulmonary/Critical Care. The role involves diagnosing and treating patients as part of a multidisciplinary team and mentoring medical students and residents.

The candidate should have an MD/DO/MBBS, completed Internal Medicine Residency, and Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship, with Board Certification or eligibility and Texas

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or MBBS required.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine Residency.
• Completion of, or in progress of completing, a Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship.
• Board Certified, Board Eligible, or in the process of completing training to become Board Eligible in Pulmonary/Critical Care.
• Ability to obtain a Texas Medical License.

Responsibilities

• Analyze patient records, reports, test results, and examination information to diagnose the medical condition.
• Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care, including diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of diseases as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
• Monitor patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary.
• Examine, collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents through lectures and bedside training.
• Didactic lectures in topics of General Internal Medicine.
• Ability to participate in research activities.

Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required.
