Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is assisting in the search for a Medical Director (Infectious Disease) for an outpatient facility in Arlington, TX.

The physician will provide expertise in infectious disease care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and help oversee clinic operations. The role requires MD/DO with active licensure, board certification in Infectious Disease preferred, and the ability to see 14–18 patients per day in a productive, no-night schedule.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active state medical license.
• Board certification in Infectious Disease preferred.
• Outpatient primary care experience required.
• Ability to manage 14–18 patients daily in a supported environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and meet productivity standards.
• Oversee patient scheduling to minimize no-shows and meet productivity benchmarks.
• Complete documentation on the day of visit or within 72 hours with accurate E/M codes.
• Deliver primary care for chronic conditions and acute issues as part of a team.
• Collaborate with front desk, care coordinators, and nursing staff for urgent care and walk-ins.
• Review consultant reports, imaging, and lab results promptly.
• Process prescription renewals within 72 hours.
• Monitor and respond to voicemails/emails daily.
• Support patient retention efforts with retention summaries.
• Supervise mid-level providers (PAs and NPs) with chart reviews as required.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage as assigned.
• Full-time physicians receive 4 hours of protected administrative time per week.
