Job summary

Banner Health's BUMCP Infectious Disease team in Phoenix, AZ seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant for day shift. You will support clinicians, take vitals, document in the EMR, and help with exams in a university-affiliated setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Banner-approved Medical Assistant training program required.
• Active Medical Assistant certification required.
• BLS certification required on hire.
• Experience with Cerner EMR or similar software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and patient information.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures.
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and scheduling for patients.
• Maintain patient records and assist with billing documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment and manage inventory.
