Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville seeks an Infection Preventionist to shape infection prevention strategies across the health system. Qualifications

• 2 years of Infection Prevention experience.
• Completion of a hospital infection control course (APIC or SHEA).
• BLS certification; Certification in Infection Control (CIC) within two years of hire.
• RN/MT/MPH licensure or related healthcare degree as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze infection data to detect trends.
• Provide real-time consultation to frontline clinicians on infection risk.
• Lead Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA) for construction and renovations.
• Educate clinical teams and drive compliance with infection prevention practices.
• Partner with ambulatory and procedural clinics on infection prevention workflows.
