Job summary

Caldera Care is seeking an RN Infection Preventionist/Staff Development Coordinator in its Washington facility. The role combines infection prevention responsibilities with ongoing staff development and education to ensure high-quality resident care.

The RN IP/SDC will drive infection surveillance, ensure compliance with CDC/public health guidelines, and design orientation programs for new hires while managing mandatory regulatory training.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in good standing with no enforcement action.
• Experience in Infection Prevention and staff development/training is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in a skilled nursing setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee infection surveillance, outbreak prevention, and control protocols in the facility.
• Lead audits of hand hygiene, isolation precautions, and antibiotic stewardship programs.
• Design orientation and ongoing education programs for clinical staff.
• Manage regulatory training and competency assessments.
