Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights is hiring an Infection Preventionist (RN). You will run the infection prevention program across campus, track data, and guide nursing staff on prevention practices. The role requires an IL RN license and completion of the CDC Infection Prevention course within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license is required.
• Completion of the CDC Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training Course, or equivalent, within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Run the infection prevention and control program for every care setting on campus.
• Track infections, spot trends, and turn the data into clear reports and action plans.
• Teach and coach nurses and CNAs on infection prevention practices.
• Do regular rounds and audits on each unit.
• Lead employee health programs for team members.
• Work with clinical leaders, local health department, and state regulators on reporting and survey readiness.
• Mentor nursing staff and serve as the go-to clinical resource for infection questions.
