Job summary

Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, part of Volare Health, is seeking an Infection Preventionist (RN) to lead infection prevention initiatives within our clinical leadership team.

This role focuses on designing and disseminating infection prevention information, performing surveillance, outbreak investigations, staff training, and collaboration with health departments to reduce infections among residents, staff, visitors, and the community.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Hawaii with good standing.
• Infection control certification required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects infection data and maintains records for each case.
• Conducts outbreak investigations.
• Trains facility leaders on infection prevention practices.
• Investigates infections and reports to the appropriate department.
• Develops and implements annual infection prevention plan.
• Directs and monitors audits of policy compliance.
