Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health is hiring an Infection Preventionist / RN to lead infection prevention, resident safety, and quality care at Hale Makua Health Services in Maui. The role includes overseeing education, quality improvement, and infection control initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include analyzing infection patterns, implementing corrective plans, and reporting to the QAA Committee, along with managing employee health activities like TB testing and immunizations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Registered Nurse with the State of Hawaii Board of Nursing.
• Two years of experience in long-term care preferred.
• Ability to learn quality improvement methods and materials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the facility infection control program.
• Aggregate, analyze and investigate infection patterns; implement plan of correction and present at QAA Committee.
• Oversee employee health issues, including physicals, PPD tests and immunizations.
