Job summary

NHC HealthCare Charleston is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our infection control efforts in a long-term care setting. The role emphasizes surveillance, policy adherence, and collaboration with the care team to prevent infections and improve outcomes.

Ideal candidates will hold a South Carolina RN license, demonstrate strong communication and leadership, and have LTC/SNF or infection control experience.

Qualifications

• SC RN license required.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Flexible, caring, compassionate, and a team player.
• Prior infection control experience preferred.
• Prior LTC/SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveillance to promote infection prevention within the facility.
• Ensure adherence to infection control standards, policies, and procedures.
• Review data on facility-acquired infections, treatments, and control measures.
• Collaborate with staff to implement improvement initiatives in infection control.

Description

The ideal Registered Nurse candidate for this position should possess excellent time management, superior organization skills, and be an exceptional communicator. Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• assisting with surveillance throughout the facility to promote infection prevention,
• ensuring adherence to infection control standards, policies, and procedures, and
• reviewing and monitoring reporting data regarding facility-acquired infections, treatments, and control measures.

Qualifications:

• Must have South Carolina RN
• Must have superior communication skills & be an effective leader
• Must be flexible, caring, compassionate, and a team player
• Prior experience in Infection Control preferred
• Prior experience in LTC/ SNF preferred
