Job summary

PowerBack Rehabilitation is seeking an Infection Preventionist to lead infection prevention and control across one or more centers under the supervision of a RN. The role focuses on surveillance, outbreak management, employee health, and ongoing process improvement.

The ideal candidate is an LPN/LVN with infection prevention training, at least three years of nursing experience, and prior long-term care/management exposure, with flexibility to cover varied shifts.

Qualifications

• LPN/LVN must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current practical or vocational nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control.
• A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience is required and a minimum of two years of nursing experience in long-term care nursing with one year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred.
• Previous experience in infection prevention and control is preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible hours in order to meet with employees working evening and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for one or multiple centers Infection Prevention and Control Program under the direction of a RN, functioning as practitioner, resource, consultant, educator and facilitator for all staff focusing on Infection Prevention, Outbreak Management, Employee Health and Surveillance.
• Identify, investigate, analyze, control and report infections.
