Legacy Nursing in Pineville, LA is seeking an Infection Preventionist to minimize infection risk throughout the facility. This role reports to the Director of Nursing and/or Corporate Designee and participates in daily QA and safety committee activities.

The ideal candidate will manage the IPCP, conduct staff training on infection control practices, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and coordinate vaccination and surveillance programs in collaboration with the IDT.

Qualifications

• Experience in infection prevention programs and surveillance.
• Ability to train residents, staff, and visitors on infection control practices.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations related to infection control.

Responsabilités

• Implement infection prevention measures and train residents, staff, and visitors on infection control practices.
• Participate in QA meetings, Safety Committee, and other required meetings.
• Oversee the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) and annual program reviews.
• Develop and maintain written IPCP standards, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate vaccination clinics and surveillance activities with the facility team.
