Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking an experienced Infection Preventionist to join our Infection Prevention team on a full-time, in-person day shift. The role emphasizes protecting patients, staff, and the community by reducing healthcare-associated infections through evidence-based practices.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in infection prevention or related fields, with CIC certification to be obtained within 2 years.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Infection Prevention, Epidemiology, Public Health, or related healthcare experience.
• CIC certification required within 2 years of hire.
• RN, MSN, or MPH degrees preferred depending on role and responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Administer and coordinate the Infection Prevention and Control Program, including planning, reporting, and action planning.
• Conduct surveillance and analysis of healthcare-associated infections using hospital epidemiology principles.
• Monitor and interpret microbiology data to identify trends and recommend prevention measures.
• Investigate outbreaks and help implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Employee Health to support workforce safety and infection prevention initiatives.
• Develop and deliver IPC education and training for healthcare teams.
• Participate in IPC, Patient Safety, and multidisciplinary committees to support QI initiatives.
• Develop IPC policies in line with CDC, TJC, and state requirements.
