Encompass Health Corporation is seeking an Infection Preventionist to lead our infection prevention program in a hospital setting. You will collaborate with clinical teams to prevent and control infections and ensure patient safety across our facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare field required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical setting experience in the field of practice.
• CIC certification preferred.
• Training in infection control and/or epidemiology.
• Experience in hospital infection control practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the managerial functions of the Infection Control Program.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, TJC, CDC, OSHA and state standards.
• Analyze hospital infection data to identify trends and risk factors.
• Manage hospital policies aligned with infection control guidelines.
• Perform surveillance, analysis, and reporting of hospital-acquired infections.
• Educate staff on infection control protocols across departments.
• Serve as a resource on infection control practices and policies.
• Develop and maintain infection control standards meeting regulatory guidelines.
