Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing, Public Health or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year experience of healthcare, public health, or related field.
• Two years' of experience in infection prevention and control: Preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in health related field: Preferred.
• Certified Infection Control (CIC): Required within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Infection Prevention Manager in implementing and monitoring infection prevention program throughout the organization.
• Collaborates with IP leadership to align IPC program goals with organizational goals.
• Serves as an infection prevention resource for clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Utilizes HAI surveillance data to perform analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Reports communicable diseases to local and state public health per requirements.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
