Job summary

Qualifications

• Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Three years of clinical experience in a health care setting.
• Demonstrated advanced communication, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Strong critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Abstract, enter, and validate infection-prevention data for NHSN and internal reporting systems in alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Conduct surveillance of targeted infections, environmental risks, and clinical practices to identify trends and support timely mitigation efforts.
• Collaborate with the IPC Coordinator to develop, implement, and evaluate infection-prevention initiatives that improve patient and staff safety.
• Communicate surveillance findings to clinical departments, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to support education and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation, prepare reports, and assist with audits or readiness activities related to regulatory compliance and accreditation.
• Provide guidance to staff regarding infection-control practices, standard precautions, and policy adherence to strengthen systemwide prevention efforts.
