Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking an Infection Preventionist to lead the nursing center's IPCP and act as a resource, educator and facilitator for staff across locations.

You will develop, implement and monitor IPCP activities, provide training for new hires, and create education programs in response to identified infection control needs, while supporting outbreak management and employee health.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience (full-time or equivalent) required.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet with evening and night shift staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead IPCP development, implementation, and surveillance.
• Provide infection prevention and control training for staff and new hires.
• Coordinate education programs in response to QAPI or quality measures and outbreaks.
