Job summary

Kent Regency in Warwick, RI seeks an Infection Preventionist to lead the nursing center's IPCP, ensuring infection prevention and control across locations. You will act as a practitioner, resource and trainer for staff.

The role requires an RN with licensure, specialized IPC training within 90 days of hire, and a minimum of three years nursing experience. Flexible hours are required to accommodate evening and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure.
• Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
• A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience is required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours to meet with evening and night shift staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the nursing center's Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) across locations.
• Support new hire orientation with infection prevention and control training.
• Create and implement education programs in response to identified infection control needs identified through QAPI, rounding, or center quality measures.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain the IPCP to ensure quality patient care related to infections and communicable diseases.
