Job summary
Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN Infection Preventionist to oversee infection prevention and control across the facility, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. You will collect, prepare, and analyze HAI data, present findings, and advise leadership on actions to improve outcomes.
This role requires an active RN license, nursing diploma, CPR certification, and specialized IPC training.
Qualifications
- Nursing diploma (associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing).
- Active RN license in the applicable state and in good standing.
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation.
- Specialized IPC training beyond initial professional training.
- Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.
- Certifications or training per state requirements (e.g., Certified TB Nurse).
Responsibilities
- Monitor Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal agencies including the CDC.
- Serve as the on-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response activities.
- Work onsite at the facility; not an off-site consultant.
- Maintain Antibiotic Stewardship Program development and accountability.
