Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an Infection Prevention Manager to oversee the facility's infection control program under the direction of the infection prevention medical director and multidisciplinary committee.

The role involves supervising staff, setting program goals, and ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, CDC, OSHA, FDA, and HHS guidelines, while driving quality improvement and staff training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2 years of experience required.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC-CBIC) required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and manages assigned staff including hiring, firing, performance evaluation, training, assignments and problem resolution.
• Establishes and administers infection prevention program goals, policies and procedures.
• Leads infection prevention programs and applies epidemiologic methods to prevent transmission and control risks.
• Develops annual surveillance plans based on population served and services provided; evaluates and updates plans.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, CDC, OSHA, FDA, and HHS standards.
• Provides guidance to providers and staff on infection management and isolation procedures.
• Supports continuous quality improvement through multidisciplinary collaboration and data-driven reporting.
• Oversees educational programs to maintain regulatory compliance and staff awareness of nosocomial infections.
• Develops, recommends and manages an annual department budget and evaluates new products for prevention and control.
• Performs other duties in a competent, professional, and courteous manner.
