Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas seeks an Infection Prevention Manager to lead and manage the facility's infection control program. You will supervise staff, develop surveillance plans, and ensure regulatory compliance across national standards.

You will provide consultation on management of communicable diseases, coordinate education and training, and oversee budget and program evaluation to improve patient safety and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of infection prevention experience.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC-CBIC) required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage assigned staff including hiring, training, and evaluations.
• Lead infection prevention program goals, policies, and procedures.
• Provide leadership for infection control programs and apply epidemiologic methods.
• Develop annual surveillance plan based on population served and services.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CDC, OSHA, FDA, and HHS standards.
• Advise on managing patients with communicable diseases and isolation procedures.
• Promote quality improvement and multidisciplinary approaches to infection prevention.
• Compile surveillance data and report to committees and health departments.
• Develop and implement educational programs for employees; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and manage the department budget and evaluate expenditures.
