Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an Infection Prevention Manager to plan, develop, and manage a comprehensive infection control program under medical direction and a multidisciplinary committee. The role emphasizes leadership, program development, and compliance with national standards.

The position requires overseeing staff, developing surveillance plans, and coordinating educational programs to protect patients and staff.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION – Bachelor's
• EXPERIENCE – 2 Years of Experience
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION – CIC-CBIC certification

Responsibilities

• Supervises and manages assigned staff, including hiring, firing, performance reviews, training, and workload assignments.
• Establishes and administers infection prevention program goals, policies, and procedures.
• Leads infection prevention programs and applies epidemiologic methods to prevent transmission.
• Oversees surveillance planning and data analysis based on population served and services.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, CDC, OSHA, FDA, and HHS standards.
• Provides consultation on managing patients with communicable diseases and isolation procedures.
• Promotes continuous quality improvement for a multidisciplinary patient approach.
• Reports surveillance data to committees and local health departments.
• Develops department budget and evaluates expenditures.
• Performs other duties as required in a professional manner
