Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa seeks an experienced infection prevention leader to advance research, quality improvement, and dissemination activities. You will provide expert consultation to IPC teams, help manage the IPC program, and contribute to business cases and product evaluations.

You will collaborate on antimicrobial stewardship, develop and implement process assessments, and design education tailored to diverse audiences while using data analytics to drive decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required; Master's preferred.
• Master's or higher in health science, public health or related field is an advantage.
• 3+ years in clinical infection control or public health is required.
• Experience with IPC programs, surveillance and quality improvement.
• Public health or healthcare delivery experience is a plus.
• Infection Control Certification (CIC) is required.
• APIC membership/credential is required.
• MASCP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and leads research, quality improvement, and scholarly dissemination.
• Provides expert consultation to infection preventionists and interdisciplinary teams.
• Manages IPC program with an IP leader and contributes to business cases.
• Leads antimicrobial stewardship initiatives and diagnostic stewardship systems.
• Designs and delivers IPC education across diverse audiences.
• Performs advanced surveillance, epidemiologic analysis, and risk assessments.
• Ensures compliance with infection control standards and regulatory alignment.
• Optimizes data collection, reporting systems, and analytics for decision making.
