Job summary

Adroit Care Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Rahway, NJ seeks an Infection Preventionist / Nurse Educator to lead the infection control program and advance staff education. The role requires compliance with CDC, CMS, and NJDOH guidelines and involves surveillance of infections, vaccination programs, and staff training.

You will collaborate with admissions and nursing to manage MDROs, coordinate TB/PPD testing, and report to administration, while fostering a culture of safety and continuous

Qualifications

• RN preferred and IP Certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in healthcare.
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing preferred.
• Experience with SigmaCare preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CDC, CMS and NJDOH regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee infection prevention and control program.
• Screen new admissions for infection risks.
• Collaborate to identify MDROs and ensure proper cohorting.
• Review admissions for TB/PPD testing and vaccinations.
• Maintain documentation of resident immunizations.
• Educate residents and families on vaccines and testing.
• Provide regular infection prevention reports to leadership.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate staff education programs.
• Coordinate onboarding and competency training.
