Job summary

Adroit Care Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Rahway, NJ is seeking an experienced Infection Preventionist / Nurse Educator to lead the facility's infection prevention and control program while supporting staff education and professional development initiatives.

The role ensures compliance with CDC, CMS, and NJDOH regulations, promotes resident safety, and drives continuous learning and excellence across the team.

Qualifications

• RN preferred and IP certification preferred.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in healthcare settings preferred.
• 6 months experience in rehabilitative/restorative nursing preferred.
• Experience with SigmaCare is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of CDC, CMS, and NJDOH regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead infection prevention and control program.
• Oversee vaccination programs and testing documentation.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on vaccinations and testing.
• Monitor infection trends through daily reviews of reports and surveillance data.
• Provide regular infection prevention updates to Administration and Nursing leadership.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate staff education programs.
• Coordinate staff orientation and ongoing clinical competency training.
• Stay current with regulations and best practices in healthcare education.
