The ideal candidate holds an RN or LPN license, has IP and staff education experience (CIC a plus), and excels in communication and teaching.
Qualifications
- RN or LPN license in good standing (required).
- Experience in infection prevention and/or staff education, preferably in skilled nursing or long-term care.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to make training engaging.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention programs per CMS, CDC, and state regulations.
- Conduct staff education and training on infection control, new hire orientation, and ongoing in-services.
- Track and analyze infection surveillance data; identify trends and lead quality improvement initiatives.
- Partner with clinical leadership to ensure compliance and survey readiness.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for staff at every level.
