Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation seeks an Infection Preventionist / Hospital Educator to lead infection control and educate hospital staff in best practices. You will collaborate with clinical teams to monitor infection prevention programs and ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines.

The role emphasizes surveillance, training, and program coordination to uphold patient safety across our facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in infection prevention and control in hospital settings.
• Ability to analyze infection data and identify trends and risk factors.
• Experience delivering staff training and educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct the managerial functions of the Infection Control Program.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, TJC, CDC, OSHA and other standards.
• Analyze hospital infection data to identify trends and variances.
• Perform surveillance and reporting of hospital-acquired infections.
• Train staff in new hire orientation and department-specific onboarding.
• Coordinate clinical rotations and preceptor programs.
