Job summary

University Health in Seguin, Texas, seeks an Infection Preventionist Manager to lead a system-wide infection prevention program across hospitals and ambulatory sites. You will work with the Director of Infection Control & Prevention to advance evidence-based strategies and drive a culture of safety.

This leadership role requires a BSN, CIC, and at least 5 years in infection prevention with 3+ years in acute care, plus strong data analysis and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum 5 years of infection prevention experience in a hospital setting.
• At least 3 years of recent acute care infection prevention, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• CIC certification required.
• Current Texas RN license (for nursing candidates).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic infection prevention initiatives across the health system.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of infection prevention professionals.
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve infection prevention policies and procedures per CDC/APIC and regulatory standards.
• Analyze and report complex infection control data to improve patient outcomes and financial performance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in outbreak response, surveillance, and program development.
• Foster collaboration across departments and cultivate a culture of safety and innovation.
