Job summary

University Health is seeking a qualified Infection Prevention professional to support the Director and help deliver a system-wide infection control program in line with regulatory standards. The role emphasizes protecting patients, staff, volunteers, students, and visitors while maintaining cost-effectiveness across the health system.

The candidate should have at least five years of hospital infection prevention experience, a nursing degree or higher, and Texas licensure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of infection prevention experience within a hospital setting.
• Three years of recent infection prevention experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Post-graduate courses in epidemiology, infection prevention or disease control desirable; supervisory/managerial experience desirable.
• Working knowledge of statistics and epidemiological principles.
• Computer skills include Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with graphics display programs and learning new software.
