Job summary

Community Health Network seeks an Infection Control Manager to lead the infection prevention program across inpatient and outpatient services. You will monitor epidemiological data, educate staff, and drive improvements to reduce healthcare-associated infections while aligning with regulatory standards.

The role requires CIC certification, RN licensure in Indiana, and 2+ years in infection control or related areas, with a master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required (4-year) in a health-related field.
Master’s Degree in Public Health or related field preferred.
Certified in Infection Control (CIC) within 3 years from hire.
Licensed as an RN in Indiana (or eligible).
Medical Laboratory Technologist certification (MT/ASCP or MLS).
Minimum 2+ years in infection prevention or related field; hospital nursing/lab epidemiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Identify, monitor, evaluate, educate and recommend improvements for infection prevention programs.
Lead surveillance and epidemiologic investigations for healthcare-associated infections.
Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, NQF and state regulatory standards.
Collaborate with site leadership to set IP strategies and objectives.
Develop and maintain an Infection Prevention Plan/Surveillance Plan and dashboards.
