Job summary

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Nebraska, Iowa, or nurse licensure compact.
• BSN required; master’s degree to be obtained within 5 years.
• CIC certification preferred; strong infection prevention knowledge and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Infection Prevention Program within the facility, including risk assessments, plan, and evaluation.
• Provide consultation on infection prevention, outbreaks, and transmission risks to departments and leaders.
• Lead the facility’s Infection Prevention team; oversee committees, education, product changes, and policy implementation.
• Ensure accurate, complete infection prevention data for committees and stakeholders; manage surveillance and reporting.
• Collaborate with division Infection Preventionists and coordinators to adopt best practices across the facility.
