Job summary

Twin Oaks Rehab in Massachusetts seeks a Facility Educator/Infection Prevention to lead the infection prevention program, educate staff, and coordinate competency activities. The role ensures compliance with CDC, CMS, DPH, and facility policies and supports antibiotic stewardship and immunization programs.

The position requires an RN or LPN licensed in MA with experience in long-term care and infection prevention. CIC certification is preferred or willing to obtain.

Qualifications

• Must be an RN or LPN and licensed in Massachusetts.
• Experience in long-term care, infection prevention, staff education, or clinical leadership.
• Infection prevention standards and regulatory requirements knowledge.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and training skills.
• Infection Prevention certification (CIC) preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct infection surveillance, audits, outbreak investigations, and reporting; analyze data and implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Oversee antibiotic stewardship and support immunization programs for employees and residents.
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver orientation, mandatory education, competency validation, and ongoing staff training programs.
• Assess training needs and create educational materials and competency evaluations.
• Maintain employee education records and ensure compliance with training and certifications.
• Collaborate with department leaders to promote regulatory compliance and infection prevention best practices.
• Serve as a resource to staff regarding infection prevention policies and clinical education.
• Participate in QAPI activities and provide reports and recommendations to facility leadership.
