Job summary

Majestic Care Terre Haute is seeking an Infection Prevention Staff Development Nurse (IPSD) to lead infection control and staff development initiatives. The role combines clinical duties with education to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance across the care team.

The IPSD will coordinate orientation, ongoing training, audits, and competency evaluations, collaborating with the Director of Nursing Services and HR to maintain high-quality care for residents.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license (RN/LPN) in state of employment, active and in good standing.
• CPR teaching certificate required.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift 25 pounds.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric population preferred.
• Two years nursing experience with infection control training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate infection prevention program and staff development.
• Provide hands‑on clinical orientation and instruction to licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Train on OSHA, infection control, CPR, and other compliance programs.
• Collaborate with HR and DNS to ensure clinical competency and annual assessments.
• Support nursing staff on the floor during staffing shortages.
