Job summary

Majestic Care of Connersville is seeking an Infection Prevention Staff Development Nurse (IPSD) to lead infection control and provide targeted staff education. The IPSD will assess needs, develop training, and coordinate with HR and the DNS to ensure regulatory compliance and clinical competency across nursing staff.

The role includes on-floor support, credentialed instruction, and collaboration to maintain safe resident care, while driving education programs and maintaining documentation in

Qualifications

• Current RN license by the State Board of Nursing with active status.
• CPR teaching certificate or equivalent CPR certification.
• Ability to push, pull and lift at least 25 pounds.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred.
• At least two years nursing experience with infection control training.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate infection control and staff development programs.
• Provide hands-on clinical orientation and instruction to licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Ensure training documentation meets state, federal, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with DNS and HR to develop competency assessments and annual trainings.
• Monitor staff performance and address compliance issues and gaps.
• Coordinate Relias and other training tools for new hires and terminations.
