Job summary

Optima Care Fountains in New Jersey seeks an experienced Infection Preventionist / Staff Development Coordinator to support regulatory compliance, staff competency, and resident safety. This dual-role oversees infection prevention and control practices in line with federal, state, county, and facility guidelines.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing training programs, orienting new staff, and delivering in-service education for all employees while ensuring documentation,

Qualifications

RN license active in New Jersey.
Minimum 3 years of full-time clinical nursing experience.
Minimum 2 years in long-term care; 1 year in a management/administrative role preferred.
Infection prevention and control certification (LTC-CIP or CIC) required.

Responsibilities

Develops, implements, and oversees infection prevention policies and procedures.
Ensures compliance with infection control regulations and facility guidelines.
Coordinates in-service training for all staff and orientation for new employees.
Assesses education needs and develops targeted in-service programs.
Guides staff on infection prevention standards and protocols.
