Job summary

Education Jobs NJ is seeking an Infection Prevention & Staff Education Coordinator to lead infection control programs and mentor nursing and facility staff. The role emphasizes developing training, ensuring CMS/CDC/state compliance, and driving a culture of safety across residents and staff.

The ideal candidate holds an RN or LPN license, has IP and staff education experience (CIC a plus), and excels in communication and teaching.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN license in good standing (required).
• Experience in infection prevention and/or staff education, preferably in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to make training engaging.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention programs per CMS, CDC, and state regulations.
• Conduct staff education and training on infection control, new hire orientation, and ongoing in-services.
• Track and analyze infection surveillance data; identify trends and lead quality improvement initiatives.
• Partner with clinical leadership to ensure compliance and survey readiness.
• Serve as a mentor and resource for staff at every level.

Infection Prevention & Staff Education Coordinator

Are you passionate about patient safety and love mentoring others? We're looking for an experienced Infection Prevention (IP) Staff Educator to join our team and help keep our residents, patients, and staff safe while building a culture of excellence through education.

In this role, you'll lead the charge on infection prevention protocols and serve as the go‑to resource for staff training and development. You'll blend clinical expertise with a passion for teaching - helping our team grow their skills while ensuring the highest standards of care.

What You'll Do:

• Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs in line with CMS, CDC, and state regulations

What We're Looking For:

• CIC certification a plus, or willingness to obtain
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a genuine passion for teaching and mentorship
