Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks an Infection Control Specialist Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Anchorage, AK. The RN will coordinate, implement and monitor infection control and employee health programs across hospital or clinic settings.

Requirements include current RN license, 3–5 years in employee health or infection control, and knowledge of regulations. Travel position offers competitive pay and standard job benefits; BSN preferred and possible OSHA/clinical

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of assignment.
• 3–5 years’ experience in employee health or infection control preferred.
• Infection Control Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of state, federal and JC regulations.
• CPR certification if applicable.
• Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, develop, implement, and monitor an infection control and/or employee health program.
• Coordinate programs to detect, evaluate and minimize infection risks to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Serve as a resource to administration, medical staff and hospital/clinic services.

Location:Anchorage, AK

The RN – Infection Control Specialist is responsible for thecoordination, development, implementation, and monitoring of an infectioncontrol program and/or employee health program.The RN – Infection Control Specialist is responsible for coordinating programsdesigned to detect, evaluate and minimize risks of acquired infections topatients, employees and visitors. The RN– Infection Control Specialist supports and acts as a resource toadministration, medical staff, and all hospital or clinic services.

• Current licensures as a Registered Nurse in the state ofassignment required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Three to five (3-5) years’ experience in employee health orinfection control preferred
• Infection Control Certification preferred
• Knowledge of state, federal and JC regulations
• Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlookand Access preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
