Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford is seeking a NICU RN for PRN night shifts in Murfreesboro, TN. The role requires an RN license via the Tennessee Board of Nursing and relevant neonatal certifications or instructor credentials within specified timelines. Diploma in nursing or equivalent licensure is required.

You will provide hands-on patient care, lead care coordination across disciplines, and help prepare patients for discharge while following organizational protocols.

Qualifications

• Licensed Compact State RN credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing prior to hire date.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• Neonatal Resuscitation or STABLE certification within 6 months (or instructor credential).
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or current professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on patient care and execute physician and nursing orders following protocols.
• Implement, monitor, and adjust individualized patient care plans.
• Continuously track, document, and report changes in patient conditions to the team.
• Serve as the primary lead coordinating care across clinical disciplines.
• Assess post-care needs and collaborate to prepare patients for discharge.
