Job summary

Cadia Healthcare in Delaware is seeking an Infection Control Nurse to lead the facility's infection control program and ensure regulatory compliance. You will monitor infection data, coordinate CDC/OSHA guidelines, and oversee immunization initiatives to protect residents and staff.

The role requires current Infection Control Certification, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced long-term care environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Certification in Infection Control.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively with residents, personnel and support agencies.
• Strong organization, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make decisions and function independently with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, coordinate, and direct the facility's infection control program according to rules and guidelines for nursing facilities.
• Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA and local infection control regulations and universal precautions.
• Collect data on facility infections, review data, identify and support corrective actions.
• Oversee Resident/Employee immunization programs at each facility.
