Job summary
Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster, PA is seeking an experienced Infection Preventionist to lead our infection prevention and control program while supporting the Director of Nursing. Qualifications
- RN license active in Pennsylvania is required.
- CIC certification is required at hire.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership in skilled nursing or long-term care.
- Experience in infection prevention and control with CDC guidelines.
- Strong regulatory knowledge and survey readiness.
- Proven leadership; ability to mentor and train staff.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as PointClickCare.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, implement, and oversee infection prevention and control program.
- Monitor infection trends, surveillance, and record-keeping of infections.
- Provide staff training on infection prevention and PPE usage.
- Conduct rounds to assess environmental cleanliness and practices.
- Develop and update IPC policies; report to QAPI Committee.
- Assist DON in managing nursing staff and operations; ensure quality resident care.
- Support surveys and audits; ensure regulatory compliance.
