GEO Group provides complemented, turnkey correctional and community reentry services. The Registered Nurse, Coordinator of Infection Disease (CID) performs a variety of professional duties involved in the prevention and control of infectious disease within the facility.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license to practice in California.
• Two years of direct RN experience preferred.
• Ability to perform annual physical assessments and TB/HIV/Hepatitis monitoring.
• Knowledge of data collection for reporting and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• The CID applies nursing skills in care and treatment of inmates with infectious disease.
• Monitors patients with infectious disease and executes physician orders.
• Assists the physician in exams and treatment.
• Documents and reports infectious diseases in monthly and quarterly reporting to the Health Administrator.
• Develops reporting to the Public Health Department.
• Collaborates with Multidisciplinary Healthcare team members.
• Maintains compliance with industry and company policies for accreditation.
• Documents all detainee or inmate contacts and maintains confidentiality of medical records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
