Pipestone County Medical Center and Family Clinic is seeking qualified nursing professionals to lead infection control and employee health activities. The role focuses on screening, health protection, and policy implementation.

The ideal candidate holds a RN license in Minnesota, a BSN preferred, 3 years nursing experience, and BLS certification. The position offers regular day shifts and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• 3 years of nursing experience with preference to prior experience in infection control and/or employee health.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota.
• BLS certified or must be obtained within 1 week of hire.
• Must meet CMS standards for Infection Control education.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee infection control program per federal, state and organizational guidelines.
• Provide health protection, screening and counseling to employees within nursing scope.

Position Highlights

Job Duties

Responsible for implementation and oversight of infection control program in compliance with federal, state and organizational guidelines. Provides for health protection, screening and counseling to employees of PCMC, within nursing scope. Supports pre-employment and annual employee health activities. Establishes and maintains policies, programs and protocols in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines for infection control and employee health. Will perform duties consistent with the coordination and implementation of all areas of safety. Responsible for compliance management of regulations and standards applicable to healthcare facility operations, including MNOSHA and Center of Medicare and Medicaid Services. Assists with the maintenance of quality management related activities which includes risk management, quality assurance, safety, and other quality related areas.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. 3 years of nursing experience with preference to prior experience in infection control and/or employee health. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota. BLS certified or must be obtained within 1 week of hire. Must meet educational requirements per the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) standards for Infection Control.

The pay range for this position is $37.81 - $60.49 per hour. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
