Job summary

Pipestone County Medical Center and Family Clinic is seeking a Nursing professional to lead infection control and employee health efforts. The role drives health protection, screening, and guidance for staff in accordance with federal, state, and CMS guidelines.

The position requires Minnesota RN licensure with a preference for infection control or employee health experience. BLS certification must be obtained within one week of hire; wage ranges are competitive and aligned with experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Minnesota; BSN preferred
• BLS certification or within 1 week of hire
• CMS infection control standards knowledge

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee infection control program per guidelines
• Provide health protection, screening and counseling to employees
• Support pre-employment and annual employee health activities
• Establish policies and protocols for infection control and employee health
• Coordinate safety across facility operations and risk management
• Maintain quality management activities including safety and QA

Position Highlights

Job Duties:

Responsible for implementation and oversight of infection control program in compliance with federal, state and organizational guidelines. Provides for health protection, screening and counseling to employees of PCMC, within nursing scope. Supports pre-employment and annual employee health activities. Establishes and maintains policies, programs and protocols in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines for infection control and employee health. Will perform duties consistent with the coordination and implementation of all areas of safety. Responsible for compliance management of regulations and standards applicable to healthcare facility operations, including MNOSHA and Center of Medicare and Medicaid Services. Assists with the maintenance of quality management related activities which includes risk management, quality assurance, safety, and other quality related areas.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. 3 years of nursing experience with preference to prior experience in infection control and/or employee health. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota. BLS certified or must be obtained within 1 week of hire. Must meet educational requirements per the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) standards for Infection Control.

The pay range for this position is $37.81 - $60.49 per hour. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
