Job summary

Pipestone County Medical Center invites qualified nurses to join our infection control and employee health program. The role focuses on compliance with federal/state guidelines, health screening, and risk management in a small Southwest Minnesota community hospital.

Applicants must be RN licensed in Minnesota, with a BSN preferred and 3 years nursing experience, ideally in infection control or employee health; BLS within one week of hire. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• 3 years of nursing experience with preference to prior experience in infection control and/or employee health.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota.
• BLS certified or must be obtained within 1 week of hire.
• Must meet educational requirements per CMS standards for Infection Control.

Responsibilities

• Implementation and oversight of infection control program in compliance with federal, state and organizational guidelines.
• Provides health protection, screening and counseling to employees within nursing scope.
• Supports pre-employment and annual employee health activities.
• Establishes and maintains policies, programs and protocols for infection control and employee health.
• Assists with compliance management of regulations and standards applicable to healthcare facility operations, including MNOSHA and CMS.
