Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to keep patient rooms and hospital areas clean and sanitized to protect patients, staff, and visitors.

Daily tasks include cleaning, mopping, dusting, and restocking supplies. You will learn proper disposal of biohazard materials and operate EVS equipment while following infection prevention and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and common spaces according to healthcare environmental services standards.
• Follows infection prevention, safety, HIPAA guidelines, and proper PPE usage.
• Maintains cleaning carts, supplies and equipment; ensures cleanliness and safety.
• Collaborates with patient care team and supports facility operations as needed.
