Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to keep patient rooms and hospital areas clean and sanitized, protecting patients and staff from infections and hazards.

You will perform routine cleaning, use specialized equipment, and follow proper disposal for biohazard materials. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and attention to detail in a fast-paced care setting.

Responsabilidades

• Complete daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment and other common areas, following health care cleaning principles; use chemicals and equipment safely.
• Adhere to organization safety, risk management and infection control guidelines, promoting a culture of safety; participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintain cleaning cart(s), supplies and equipment; remove waste and transport to disposal areas; follow proper waste stream handling per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Follow infection prevention practices: cleaning/disinfection, hand hygiene, isolation precautions, PPE; protect patient privacy (HIPAA).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, personal accountability; identify resources to resolve concerns; know facility safety requirements.
• Operate and maintain EVS tools and equipment; assist with conference room setups, stairwell/elevator cleaning, cubicle curtain hanging; mentor new Environmental Services Tech I; collaborate with the patient care team.
