Job summary

South Kingstown Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Infection Control and Education Nurse (RN) to oversee infection prevention and lead mandatory education programs for staff. The role requires RI RN licensure and an infection control certification, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute nursing duties in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will audit compliance, provide staff training in group and individualized settings, and collaborate with the DNS and Administrator

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Rhode Island.
• Must possess an infection control certification and experience.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and long-term care regulations is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee infection control/prevention activities and monitor compliance with quality measures.
• Lead employee education and competency training programs for staff.
• Audit policies, educate staff on infection control practices, and report to DNS/Administrator.
