Job summary

Mercyhealth Hospital and Medical Center – Lake Geneva, WI is hiring an Environmental Services Technician to sanitize and clean patient rooms, corridors, and common areas. You will maintain EVS equipment, stock supplies, and ensure safe cleaning practices according to protocols.

Responsibilities include coordinating special cleaning projects, adhering to infection prevention standards, and documenting activities in EPIC while using Xenex UV Lights where available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cleaning/EVS experience helpful.
• Ability to mix/store chemicals safely and follow isolation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning of patient rooms and adjacent areas.
• Maintain EVS closet, cart, and equipment in orderly fashion.
• Replenish supplies and ensure safety precautions are followed.
• Coordinate special projects with departments and post informational signs.
• Respond to pager calls promptly and document in EPIC.
