Job summary

Mercyhealth's Environmental Services (EVS) team member cleans and sanitizes patient areas to support a safe, welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role follows infection prevention standards, handles waste and cleaning chemicals properly, and maintains supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities include preparing patient rooms, assisting with special cleaning projects, logging supplies, and reporting safety hazards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning of assigned areas including furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Adhere to infection prevention standards and proper chemical handling.
• Maintain EVS closet, cart and equipment in an orderly state.
• Report safety hazards or equipment issues to supervisor.
